Motion
This assignment focused on learning rotoscoping—an animation technique where video footage is traced frame-by-frame to create a fluid motion. My approach was to use a watercolour style for the hands, allowing soft washes and blended edges to enhance the movement of the flame. This is paired with charcoal brushes for the outlines and matchbox, creating a mixed-media look that feels sketchy and textured while still maintaining a soft, atmospheric quality.

Time to Vacuum - Character Animation
This assignment was to design a character doing a movement. I actually really enjoy cleaning, so I illustrated my caffeinated self vacuuming my living room while also featuring my cat, Theo.
This assignment was to develop a concept that utilizes 3D space, depth, and perspective creatively. I illustrated all of the elements incorporating a scene with hot air balloons rising through the trees.
